Important to Know
MAJIKAL RACES
Witch Queen (Leikan) – native majical power transferred into a mortal body to live. The first Witch, Mireaia, was the offspring of a Mundi witch from the land of Tierra Firme and a Majikal being from the dimension of Lumina Solare. There is also a myth that she was created by the hands of the goddess herself. Witches are rarely born, and it often takes decades before another one like her emerges and leads in Tierra Firme. Recognized as the queen of all bloodlines, she is always at the top of the political hierarchy of Majikal authority, higher than other witch queens like Tituathen and Sanke, or queens ruling over provincial territories. The Leikan also governs the Majikal government, the Majikal Council of the Elders, and maintains good relations with the alphas of other races besides the Magicals. Furthermore, in her first circle, the men are members of the alphas.
Witches – female Magicals and Hybrids who exhibit majikal abilities. In ancient times, a pureblood Majikal witch was recognized as a Priestess upon reaching the right age when all potential abilities became fully active, which is at the age of twenty-one.
There are names for different categories of power that manifest in a witch. The Indigo are spirit witches. They have a close relationship with animals and earth natives (pixies). The Ayvah are earth witches. They possess the gift of healing touch and are healers. The Kaia are water witches, skilled in making tonics and potions. The Avani are air witches, and their power lies in breathing, wind, and its force during storms. The Drusen wield fire, heat, and the power of the sun. They rarely live near the Mundi as they are easily discovered. They always end up burning something. And the Salem have abilities in electricity and vibrations, often accompanying the Kaia.
There are also Spell Weavers, or Weavers. They can manipulate and weave the four elements of earth, air, water, and fire to create new spells. The rarest majikal gift of the Weavers, spirit weaving, is given only to the seventh daughter of a Weaver.
Hybrids – offspring of relationships between Mundi and Majikal, Mundi and a supernatural, or Majikal and Supernatural beings. A Hybrid may have stronger Majikal genes if most of their ancestors are Majikal. They are those who can use majik sufficiently to be exempted from the Statute of Secrecy if born to a Mundi family and can live with other Magicals, and be called Magicals.
On the other end of the spectrum are Hybrids with weak majikal blood who remain unaware, except for occasional sensitivity or attraction to places where Magicals frequently congregate. Among the Mundi, they are called sensitives or psychics.
Majikal – people born into a bloodline or between members of different bloodlines of Pureblood families. They sometimes interact with the Mundi, but they usually live in secret places belonging to their clan, growing up far from Mundi territories that have no majik but have technology.
Mundi – natives of Tierra Firme without majik in their blood but with intelligence and the ability to create through science. Some intelligent and sensitive Mundi are aware of the existence of the Magicals and Supernaturals. Most of them are unaware of the majikal races or beings called Supernaturals.
Warlocks – adult male Magicals, Supernaturals, or Hybrids who show natural proficiency in using majik. They often become alphas as they grow and serve a living witch queen, whether Leikan, Tituathen, or Sanke. In this position, they are called Warlords. They also lead clans in times of war or peace, often organized by an Ancient.
Ancients – the first male Magicals born in Tierra Firme. They are almost immortal due to their sheer difficulty to be killed. They serve as the enforcers of the Leikan witch’s laws, with no one more loyal in service to the Leikan than them. Few Ancients remain, and most live in the dimension of Lumina Solare, one of the four major dimensions, while waiting for another Leikan to be born in Tierra Firme.
Eshikh – exotic beings with bat-like wings, dark skin, and curly black hair; fierce warriors and formidable foes. When insects swarm, it is said that the Eshikh are near. They live in the dimension of Lumina Solare and rarely visit Tierra Firme unless for a significant reason, such as serving a Leikan.
Speiro – beings with eagle-like wings, golden hair, pale skin, and blue eyes. Like the Eshikh, they are brave warriors but more spiritual than other Magicals and often interact with the Mundi behind a glamour to hide their wings and angelic appearance. They live in the dimension of Lumina Solare. When they rarely visit Tierra Firme, they are closer to the weak and oppressed. They are often mistaken for the angelic deities of the Mundi.
Fey – beings from a world long forgotten by time, except for fairy tales that tell stories of their antics to play with, tease, or help the Mundi. The Fey lived in Lumina Solare before the dimension acquired its name. The bloodline of the Weavers (a rare race of Magicals) is said to be a hybrid of Fey and Magicals.
SUPERNATURAL BEINGS
Olden – in mythology, they are the creators, older than those considered gods. They are immortal and endless. Their emotions are based on their curiosity. According to stories, they live in the dimension of Twilight and do not care about the world outside that territory. But they remember other beings from a time before the territories were divided into dimensions, and it is believed they still feel the emotions associated with those memories, which is why the Olden are close to the most powerful witches—the Weavers, and the Leikan witch.
Vampyres - beings from Lumina Solare. About ten times physically stronger than the average Majikal male, they also possess psychic powers and their only weakness is sensitivity to sunlight because they are more accustomed to the gentler light of Lumina Solare’s two suns. They usually stay in the shade during the daytime in Tierra Firme, and if exposed to direct sunlight for too long, they become weak or develop blisters on their skin that resemble second or third-degree sunburns. They can feed without using their incisors. They just stay close to a feeder and draw blood using majik from the person’s exposed skin pores.
Shapeshifters/Skinwalkers - These beings can change their form, which is why they are often called the most beautiful creatures among the supernatural. They commonly take on human forms, but sometimes they shift into animals. Shapeshifters are playful and sexually active beings; they possess an unusually strong libido, leading them to often be mistaken for succubi and incubi.
Lycanthropes/Lycan - These are beings who, upon reaching juvenile age, transform into animals during a full moon. They have no control over their shape-shifting or behavior, especially if they are still juveniles, unless their alpha is nearby to control them through mental will. The most famous lycanthropes are werewolves, but there are also weretigers, werebears, werelions, wereboars, werebats, werevultures, and even weresharks. Lycanthropes are very elusive, and sightings of them in Tierra Firme are extremely rare. Many of them, especially those who are few in number or are loners or rogues, have moved to the dimension of Twilight.
Undertakers - These beings escort the dead from Tierra Firme and Lumina Solare to Lumina Slava. Only the Ancients can see the aura of the Undertakers when they are in human form, but their psychic energy can be felt by those closest to or who love the person destined to die. Despite their unmatched power, Undertakers have only one responsibility, which is to fetch the dead. The consequence of defying this duty is their own life, which can be considered their only weakness.
DIMENSIONS/PLACES
Tierra Firme – The world/dimension of the Mundi and Majikal—or humans. This dimension is the 3D, or the physical world.
Lumina Solare – The world/dimension of alpha beings who left Tierra Firme long ago, such as deities, Ancients, Fey, and vampires. This dimension is also home to the Eshikh and Speiro, considered natives of Lumina Solare.
Lumina Slava – The world/dimension of the dead, illuminated by an eternal twilight because this land has two suns covered by a moon at all times, creating the phenomenon of an eternal eclipse. Majikal beings, who still have remaining Majikal energy in their earthly bodies, stay here until it expires, which can take many years.
Legend of the Abyss – The Void, where deceased Mundi go immediately. Majikal beings in Lumina Slava also go here when they expire.
Eshikhan Desserts – Deserts in Lumina Solare where the Eshikh and their underground tunnels can be found.
Speirian Skies – Steep cliffs and rock formations that are home to the Speiro.
Twilight Dimension – An unofficially documented place, a refuge for rogue Majikal and supernatural beings. It can be compared to the Mundi’s Twilight Zone.
